Empathy Skills Practice (ESP)™ Coaching
Brain-Based Mental Health & Executive Function Coaching for a World Under Pressure
We’re living under constant psychological strain at work, at home, and in our bodies. If you feel overwhelmed, reactive, exhausted, or stuck, this is not a personal failure. It’s your brain doing exactly what it was designed to do under chronic stress.
Empathy Skills Practice (ESP)™ Coaching is a neuroscience and trauma-informed approach that teaches empathy, self-regulation, and executive function as learnable skills helping you move from survival mode to clarity, connection, and consistent productivity without burnout.
Skills Over Pills.
Education Over Guesswork.
Capacity Over Coping.
The Reality
Let’s be clear:
This is not a motivation problem
This is not a discipline problem
This is not because you’re “not doing enough”
This is a brain and nervous system problem, and it’s happening everywhere.
Mental Health is the Final Frontier
When stress and trauma overwhelm the nervous system, the brain loses access to the skills we rely on most:
Emotional regulation
Clear communication
Planning and follow-through
Sound decision-making
That breakdown shows up as:
Reactivity and conflict
Burnout and shutdown
High intelligence with low productivity
Strained relationships
Leadership driven by urgency instead of clarity
Most approaches focus on symptoms or endless insight without teaching how the brain actually works under pressure.
We can’t afford that anymore!
What Makes ESP™ Coaching Different
Teaching you to thrive and not just survive!
We don’t treat anxiety, burnout, or emotional overload as flaws.
We treat them as intelligent signals from a brain trying to keep you safe in an unsafe environment.
ESP™ Coaching strengthens prefrontal cortex (PFC) function the part of the brain responsible for:
Self-regulation
Planning and prioritization
Emotional control
Non-violent communication
Consistent productivity
This is a practical, brain-based process that teaches you how to:
Understand how biology drives behavior (yours and others’)
Interrupt stress responses before they take over
Regain control without suppression or shame
Communicate boundaries clearly
Build systems that support your life instead of draining it
This is about building capacity, not just coping.
The ESP™ Coaching Framework
Empathy Skills Practice™ translates neuroscience into real-world results by integrating:
Brain-based education

Executive function coaching
Planning, prioritization, time management, and follow-through under pressure
Sustainable systems-building
Structures that hold even when life is heavy

Meet The Coaches
Dr. Alauna, Trauma Psychiatrist
Dr. Alauna Curry is a board-certified psychiatrist and the creator of Empathy Skills Practice™ (ESP™). Through the Adult Cortex Method™, she works with adults to strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication and boundaries, and develop practical routines that support productivity and well-being.
Her approach combines trauma literacy, neuroscience education, and real-world skill building to help clients move from confusion and shame toward clarity, resilience, and personal agency.
Nicque Montgomery
Nicque Montgomery leads the Youth & Emerging Adult Cortex Method™ coaching track, supporting teens and young adults as they build the foundational skills needed for school, work, and life transitions.
Her work focuses on executive function development, emotional regulation, impulse control, and identity formation. Through structured coaching and practical strategies, she helps young people strengthen communication skills, navigate challenges with greater confidence, and develop habits that support independence and long-term success.
Who This Is For
ESP Coaching™ is for people who are done surviving.
This may be a strong fit if you:
Live with chronic stress, burnout, or overload
Carry responsibility at work, home, or in your community
Understand your trauma history but still feel stuck
Experience reactivity, avoidance, or decision fatigue
Want tools you can actually use
Are ready to practice skills—not just talk
Have tried therapy, medication, or self-help with limited results
Especially for individuals and leaders expected to perform at a high level with little margin for error.
We don’t have to live like this.
What Becomes Possible
Through ESP™ Coaching, clients learn to:
✔️
Recognize and name what’s actually happening inside them
Develop clear language for emotions, stress responses, and behaviors that have long been misunderstood or mislabeled.
✔️
Understand that people are not “crazy” or broken
Most people are simply undiagnosed, untreated, and unsupported at the level of brain and nervous system function. When biology is understood, shame drops, and power returns.
✔️
Identify repeating patterns that keep them stuck
Learn to recognize stress cycles, relational dynamics, and behavioral loops that quietly drive burnout, conflict, and exhaustion.
✔️
Interrupt old cycles and build new ones
Gain the tools to change patterns in real time—at work, at home, and in leadership—before stress takes over.
✔️
Regain agency through understanding
When you can name what’s happening and why, you can respond with intention instead of reaction.
✔️
Move from survival to self-directed control
This work replaces confusion with clarity, and coping with choice.
Why This Matters Now
The information is in. The science is clear.
If we don’t understand our brains, the consequences show up everywhere in our health, relationships, leadership, and communities.
Mental health coaching is no longer optional.
Self-regulation is no longer a luxury.
The future belongs to people who understand their biology and know how to use it.
